It is a non-renewable visa for the tourists those who want to stay in the UAE for more than 14 days. These are 2 types; short term visit visa (30 days) and long term visit visa (90 days)
30-Day Short-Term Visit Visa for individuals is valid for 30 days from the issue date and non-renewable. The visa is valid for 30 days from the arrival date and non-renewable.
90-Day Long-Term Visit Visa validity is for 60 days from the issue date and non-renewable. The visa is valid for 90 days from the arrival date and non-renewable.
The Tourist Visa is a special category under the Visit Visa type and entitles the holder to a 30-day stay and in non-renewable. In case visa holder of the Tourist Visa stays for more than 30 days, that person should pay a penalty fine per day plus some charges for an out pass. The passport should be valid at least 6 months
A transit visa is a temporary short period visa during the journey of passengers stopping at the UAE airports. Those who are stopping for a minimum of 8 hours are eligible for a 96 hour Transit Visa. A valid onward ticket is compulsory. Passport and other travel documents must be valid for at least three months.
Visa on Arrival
Nationals of eligible countries/regions are permitted to enter the UAE without a visa prior to their arrival as long as they are carrying a valid passport that will not expire within six months of their arrival date. Immigration officials grant a visit visa, which is valid for 30 days, on arrival at the port of entry.
To obtain a work permit for Dubai, expats need a residency visa which permits them to remain in the emirate for up to three years. Applicants must undergo health check and those fail will not be granted a residency visa and will be deported from the country. Once the residence visa and has been secured, expats will be issued with a labour card and this is the official document which permit them to work in Dubai.
